Introduction
    Jiamusi University College of Pharmacy, formerly known as the Department of Pharmacy of Jiamusi Medical College , was founded in 1976'and is the earliest training base for the senior pharmaceutical talents in Heilongjiang province. In 1999, College of Chemistry and Pharmacy was established by merging the Department of Chemistry of the original Jiamusi Teachers Junior College, the Department of basic Chemistry of the original Jiamusi College of Technology, and was renamed as College of Pharmacy in July 2009. Through 30 years'of construction and development, the college has become the executive member of China Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Association, the member of the Council of Chinese Natural Medicine, the executive member of Pharmaceutical Society in Heilongjiang Province, the member of Chemical Society in Heilongjiang Province, vice president of Pharmaceutical Society in Jiamusi City, the seat of Pharmaceutical Research Institute in Heilongjiang Province and chemical medicine research and development center in Heilongjiang Province.
    The college set up 5 specialties, namely, pharmacy, pharmaceutical engineering, chemical, chemical engineering and technology, pharmaceutical marketing; 4 master's degree-conferring units, namely, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy and pharmaceutical analysis; 2 provincial key specialties, a provincial characteristic specialty, a key specialty of Jiamusi University; a provincial key discipline, 4 university key disciplines, a provincial key laboratory of Colleges, a provincial experimental teaching demonstration center, a key laboratory of Jiamusi University, a provincial excellent course and 5 excellent courses of Jiamusi University.
    The college totals 105 staff, including 18 professors, 21 associate professors, 17 lecturers and 20 senior experimentalists. Among them, there are 15 teachers with doctor's degree and 36 ones with master's degree. With an enrollment of more than 1340 students, the College recruits about 150 graduate students for master's degree annually. Since its establishment, the College has trained more than 6000 senior talents in pharmacy, pharmaceutical engineering, chemistry and pharmaceutical marketing to meet the needs of the country.  And some have become well-known experts, scholars, enterprisers and outstanding leaders.  The college covers an area of more than 10000 m2 of the teaching and laboratory building , 20 staff rooms and 55 laboratories, and the experimental apparatus worth of 16 millions.
   Up to the present, the college has undertaken 124 research projects, including 87 teaching research projects, an international cooperation project, 10 national projects, 20 provincial and ministry projects, more than 40 departmental projects and more than 10 crosswise projects, and achieved the second Award of National Scientific and Technological Advance, three Provincial Science and Technology Invention Awards and 28 Scientific and Technological Advance Awards of Jiamusi City, 6 Provincial Teaching Achievement Awards, 10 Teaching Achievement Awards of Jiamusi University. In the past three years, our College published 34 textbooks and more than 300 academic papers, among which more than 80 papers have been quoted by SCI.
    The College actively develops domestic and international academic exchanges and cooperation, and establishes friendly relationships with 28 domestic colleges and research institutes, and develops cooperative projects with Kochi University in Japan, Pusan National University in Korea and the University of Georgia in America. The college organized two national academic conferences.
    The College lays more emphasis on the spirit of the college instructions "Deeper moral and Extensive knowledge£¬Probing and Persevering ", and bases ourselves upon Heilongjiang Province, serves the whole country and strives for the establishment of High-level college.

 Introduction to Specialty of Pharmacy
    The specialty of Pharmacy in Pharmacy College of Jiamusi University was first founded in 1976, whose predecessor was Jia Musi Medical College, and was one of the earliest pharmacy training bases in Hei Longjiang, which was evaluated as a key academic specialty at the provincial level in 2000. After 30 years of construction and development, the pharmacy program has reached a higher level in education and scientific research, and has certain influence at home and abroad. At present the Pharmacy has become the executive member of China Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Association, the member of the Council of China Natural Medicine, the executive member of Heilongjiang Pharmaceutical Association, vice director Unit of Jiamusi Pharmaceutical Association, Heilongjiang Pharmaceutical Research Institute and key laboratory Colleges and Universities in Hei Longjiang. More than 4000 graduate students are spread throughout about 20 provinces and cities, had made outstanding contributions to the development of pharmaceutical industry in Heilongjiang.
    The Pharmacy program was provincial key specialty, which consists of one provincial key disciplines, one provincial quality course, 3 master's degree authorized discipline (Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Analysis). Pharmacy discipline was one of the characteristics disciplines in JiaMusi university, consisted of 2 field grade key disciplines and one field grade quality course, and had developed the multiple-level cultivation including undergraduate pharmacy, dual-degree, post-graduate.
    Department faculty includes 14 members, among which 4 members are professors, 4 members are associate professors, 4 members hold Ph.D. degrees, 6 members have master's degree, and the ratio of Ph.D. and Master's is 71.4%. At present, the number of undergraduate and graduate students in school are 398 and 90, respectively.
    The Pharmacy personnel had managed 2 National Key Technology R&D sub-Program by Ministry of Science and Technology of China, one scientific and technical personnel service action program, taken part in 2 National projects including 973 Program and Natural Science Foundation of China, presided provincial a key scientific and technological project, a north-east old industrial bases reconstruction projects, and a Natural Science Foundation of  Province, and undertaken projects of all kinds of scientific research 22 items as well as teaching research 4 items. The institute has released more than 100 academic papers, among which 7 papers were quoted by SCI, and more than 20 textbooks and monographs were published. The personnel won a third-class prize of Hei Longjiang Provincial Scientific and Technological Advances Award, 3 first-class prize of Jiamusi Scientific and Technological Advances Award, 3 Provincial Teaching Awards and 3 Internal Teaching Awards, respectively.
    The Pharmacy program has been taking the society demand as fundamental, exploring mode of training talents, and cultivating the qualified persons with firm basic knowledge and high skillful technology to adapts to future medicinal development. The course system was optimized, in the meantime, the innovative ability and operation ability were trained in the teaching. The Pharmacy program implement ¡°Flexible Credit System¡±, and the student could have access to double degree according to society demand and interest, which laid good foundation for further education and employment.
    The pharmacy institute have been actively carrying out extensive academic exchanges and cooperation, established friendly intercourse with 20 universities as well as research academies and institutes, and developed international cooperation and co-cultivation with Kochi University, Zhejiang University and Shenyang Pharmaceutical University.

Introduction to Pharmaceutical Engineering 
    Pharmaceutical Engineering Specialty is provincial key specialty and specialty wirh provincial characteristics. It has been authorized to confer bachelor in 1976 and master's degree-conferring units of medicinal chemistry in 2000. Pharmaceutical engineering specialty bring up the advanced engineering and technical personnel, which should possess basic pharmaceutical engineering theory, knowledge and skills, and can engage in the pharmaceutical products, development, application and management, etc.
In 2007, Pharmaceutical engineering Specialty is established as provincial key specialty and provincial characteristic specialty by the Provincial Department of Education. Now, it has an innovating practical area of talented person training, a school key subject, 2 school key curriculums, a school model curriculum. The department has 22 staffs including 5 professors, 4 associate professors, 9 lecturers and 4 assistants. Among them, there are 4 teachers with doctor's degree and 13 ones with master's degree, and the executive member of China Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Association, the editor of natural medicine chemistry, the member of the national higher education textbook committee, the senior member of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, the commissioner of Heilongjiang Chemical Society, the chair-commissioner of the Professional Committee of Jiamusi Pharmaceutical Association, the vice- commissioner of the natural medicine chemistry and the pharmaceutical engineering specialty.
    The last three years, the pharmaceutical engineering specialty has published 8 textbooks and 79 domestic papers( 30SCI, 3EI), and undertaken 26 research projects, including an international cooperation project, two National Science and Technology projects, three national projects, provincial and ministry projects, etc. And research funding total more than 200 millions, and award-winning results and patents total 12 projects.
    The pharmaceutical engineering specialty actively develops domestic and international academic exchanges and cooperation, and bases ourselves upon Heilongjiang Province, serves the whole country and strives for the establishment of a teaching and scientific research type of a first-class department in Heilongjiang Province and even the country.

Introduction to Chemistry
    The Specialty of Chemistry was founded in 1978, and train mainly versatile talents who own basic theory, knowledge and skill, can engage in chemical education and can undertake scientific researches, technological development, production and management, product quality inspection in the field of chemical industry and environmental protection.
The specialty of chemistry was appointed the key specialty and the subject of chemistry was appointed the key subject in the level of school in 2009. The specialty has two quality courses-analytical chemistry and organic chemistry. The subject holds perfect training system and powerful teacher group that contains 33 full-time teachers, which own 8 professors and 14 associate professors. In the group, more than 76% teachers have obtained the degree of master and 8 teachers owned doctoral degree.
    In the past three years, we have participated in editing 4 nationally unified textbooks and two publications, and have finished about 10 self-edit experimental guide tutorials. Also we have totally performed 12 provincial and college level educational research projects, among of them four projects are excellent teaching achievement awards. At present, a total of more than 10 scientific research projects at all levels have been performed, and about 10 projects are awarded. They are Natural Science Academic Achievement award of Heilongjiang Province, Science and Technology Achievement award of Heilongjiang University Association, Science and Technology Progress award of Jiamusi Government and so on. In addition, more than 60 academic articles and 20 about teaching research papers are published, among which there are more than 10 papers are indexed by SCI.
    Chemistry is a specialty with characteristics which combines science and technology, and synthesizes and intersects with several subjects. It decreases the traditional understanding of chemistry specialty, and broadens the professional caliber. Hence it strengthens the syndicated news-oriented education and liberal-oriented education. It also provides a variety modes of personnel training, therefore can broaden the channels of employment for students.

    Introduction to the Specialty of Pharmaceutical Marketing
    The specialty of Pharmaceutical Marketing was founded in 2003, with an academic structure for three years , The Pharmaceutical Marketing that relies on the specialty of Pharmacy is applied subject .The specialty of Pharmacy in Pharmacy college of Jiamusi University was first founded in 1976, whose predecessor was Jia Musi Medical College, and was one of the earliest pharmacy training base in Hei Longjiang, which was evaluated as a key academic specialty at the provincial level in 2000. The specialty of Pharmaceutical Marketing started admissions in autumn in 2003, the sum of trained students is 447 by now. The specialty accumulated a wealth of experience in education and establishment of a rational structure of the teaching staff after six years of construction. Department faculty includes 15 members, among which 4 members are professors, 4 members are associate professors, 4 members hold Ph.D. degrees ,7 members have master's degree, and the ratio of Ph.D. and Master's is 73.3%.
     The specialty sets up 20 function laboratories, with 10000 square meters of floor space. The laboratory has NMR, GC-MS LC-MS, GC(FID and Nitrogen ),LC,(DAD, ELSD and FLD), DSC, NIR, Dual-wavelength TLC scanner, Preparative Liquid Chromatography, High-speed Refrigerated Centrifuges, Fluorescence Spectrophotometer, OLYMPUS Digital Imaging System, Paraffin Dual-Cryostat, Quick Slice Processing Instrument, Freeze Dryer and more than 50 sets of advanced equipment. There are more than 2,000 species of medicinal plants and 765 crude drug samples included by the Chinese Herbarium. The specialty shares library digital resources in Jiamusi University, covering more than 8200 domestic journals, 42000 dissertations in Full paper database of Chinese excellent dissertations, Implement the functions of literature collection, borrow and retrieval automation, network information services, meeting the needs of curriculum construction and Student-Cultivation.
    The Pharmacy specialty has undertaken 2 technology supporting platform projects of Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China,For the moment, in charge of two sub-projects of the National Science and Technology Ministry Supporting Platform; Preside A skilled personnel services the enterprise project of the Science and Technology Ministry; Participate both in national "973" project and the Nature Fund project; Take charge of one scientific and technological project in Heilongjiang Province, one transformation project in northeast old industrial base, one provincial fund project in Heilongjiang province; Undertake 22 other types of research projects and take on 4 projects of teaching research. In the past three years, more than 100 articles were published, of which 35 articles are published in core journals, 7 articles are in SCI retrieval system; Edit and participate in more than 20 teaching materials and monographs; We have won a third prize in scientific and technological progress of Heilongjiang government and 3 first prizes in Scientific and Technological Progress in Jiamusi City and obtained 3 awards of provincial teaching achievement and 3 awards of school teaching achievement.
