School of Electronics Technology and Computer Science 

College Introduction
    School of Electronics Technology and Computer Science was founded in 1999, which is the integration of Electrical Engineering Department in Jiamusi Polytechnic Institute and Computer Education Center in Jiamusi Normal University. The college comprises three departments: computer science and technology, electrical engineering and communication engineering. There are 6 undergraduate programs, including Electronical Engineering and Automation, Automation, Computer Science and Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Electric and Information Engineering and Communication Engineering; one master program- Computer Science and Technology. There is one Information-Control-Computer experiment center, three labs and three university-level research institutes (room) and three students' innovation bases. Lab area covers 4,720 square meters and instruments cost is nearly 14.7 million Yuan. Currently the college includes 1,200 full-time undergraduates and 9 master candidates, which develops into one of the largest colleges in Jiamusi University.
    The College has 90 staff among which 2 are professors, 24 are associate professors. There are 35 teachers with master degree or above and 3 master tutors at the college. The teaching staff of the college blooms into a vigorous group with high education, high-quality and reasonable structure. In recent five years, the college has achieved a lot in teaching and science research and undertaken 10 transverse research projects and 14 provincial and ministerial researches including national 863 plans projects.27 monographs and 147 academic papers have been printed and published. Applied Computer Technology and Control Theory and Control Engineering are awarded with university-level key disciplines. Electronic Engineering and its Automation becomes university-level key major. Electrotechnics and Principle of Automatic Control are honored as exquisite course. The college lays emphasis on cultivating the students' innovative ability and comprehensive qualities, so the students of the college repeatedly made outstanding achievements in the National Collegiate Electronics Designing Competition and ACM/ICPC International Collegiate Programming Contest

    The Introduction of Electrical Engineering and Its Automation Specialty
    According to the general development planning of Jiamusi University, Electrical Engineering and Its Automation Specialty was established to recruit undergraduates in September 1992to meet the need for talents in electrical information in the economic construction of the country. There are two special fields (including Electrical Drive and Control, Power System and Its Automation) in this specialty. The former cultivates the high-level technology talents who work on power drive automatic control and design, debugging, maintenance, operational management in the factory power supply system. The latter mainly trains the talents of generating power, transmission, transformation,use and the manufacture of motor and electrical apparatus. This specialty consists of strong electricity and weak electricity.
    The teaching thought is that it tracks the up-to-date technology development, pays attention to the culture of project consciousness and puts emphasis on an innovation spirit. According to the guideline of attaching importance to foundation, possessing a wide rang of technology and emphasizing on practice, it devotes to cultivating the advanced people working on the first line of industry production of electrical and automation. Based on the reality serves power industry and local economy, it attaches importance to the characteristic, keeps pace with the times and rolls development.
    Electrical Engineering and Automation Specialty is a long-time speciality that is needed by the society .It has a strong general availability and broad adaptability. This sociality has been accepted by the society by means of graduate's employment and society reflection. It is welcomed and pursued by parents and examiners in enrolling new students of Jiamusi University every year.

General Information of EIE
    EIE is a more comprehensive department in electronics and information systems, covering fields of Application Electronics, Signal Processing, Communication, Computer Science and Technology. EIE devotes herself to culture and education of mainly engineering specialists associated with science researchers, and focuses on training of abilities of innovation, application and engineering. Students in this program learn signals acquisition and processing, principles of circuit, professional knowledge of electronic facilities and information systems, receive a wide range of practice trainings of electronic and information engineering, and gain abilities of designing, developing, applying and integrating electronic facilities and information systems.
    Students are required to complete the curriculum in 4 years and fulfill the designated 176 credits. Successful graduates will receive a graduation certificate along with the bachelors' degree, according to the regulation of the Degree Committee.
Essential disciplines: Information & Communication Engineering, Electronic Science & Technology and Computer Science and Technology.
    Main courses: Circuits, Analogue Electronics, Digital Electronics, Signals and Systems, HF Electronic Circuits, Principles of Communication, Electromagnetic Fields and Waves, Fundamentals of Microcomputer and Interface, Digital Signal Processing, EDA and Application, DSP and Application,  Single-chip Computer and Application, Sensors and Application.
    Primary practice cases: Mental Manufacturing Training, Electronic Techniques Training, Design Projects on EDA and Single-Chip Computer, Production Practical Training, Electronics Fabrication, Diploma Practice and Diploma Projects, etc. The schedule of general practice training cases totals up to 31 weeks.

    Computer Science and Technology Overview
    This major aims at developing students who have specialized scientific and technical qualities, such as systematically mastering the computer science software, hardware, application of basic theory, the basic knowledge, skills and methods, techniques and methods of software design, development and management, commanding the advanced software development tools and environments and software engineering management practices, so that they can be engaged in computer teaching, scientific research and application in scientific research, education, business, career, technical and administrative departments and other units.
    The students mainly study the aspects of computer science and technical basic theory and basic knowledge, accept basic training for research and application in computer in order to have basic capabilities in research and development of computer system, understand the professional development direction, work independently and resolve practical problems.
    This major emphasizes on training students to master the capabilities of designing computer application software and maintaining and operating computer system hardware and software. The major takes application-oriented teaching methods by combining computer software and hardware and trains students with basic abilities in research and development of a computer system.

    Introduction to Biomedical Engineering
    Biomedical engineering is a specialized field with the theory basis of foreign language, mathematics, electronic, etc, which combines science, engineering and medicine. In the specialized field, we will educate compound high-tech talents with the all-round development in moral, intellectual and physical aspects, who will have a proper knowledge structure, a strong foundation, lots of original ideas and the competitive power. The specialized field includes the following features. It has the knowledge structures with strong intercrossing and synthesis so that it will be proper to the more application fields. The specialized field requests students to master the biomedical engineering specialized knowledge through the cross of biomedical science, computer science and information science, so that the students can possess the strong abilities to learn knowledge, adapt to the environment, obtain the innovation, put into practice and solve the problems. Meanwhile the students must master the basic theories and technique of the electronic medical system. These students major in the basic theories and foundational knowledge about life science, technology of electronics, computer technology and information science, meanwhile they will accomplish the basic training how to apply the technology of electronics, the signal detection and process and computer technology to the medicine. The graduate in the specialized field will be engaged in the research, the design and development of medical electronic equipment as well as computer application and management, etc.

    Introduce of Communication Engineering Specialty
    Our purpose is to cultivate the students with high ideals, morality, culture and discipline, who love their motherland and can adapt to the need of the modern development. At the same time, after the four years university life, they can be engaged in electronic technology, communication technology, communication systems and communication networks, etc. And the students can be the professionals of the department of the national economy and defense industry as well as the applied technology and equipment.
    The specialty is combined with communication systems and communication networks, so it is better than other ones. It includes program-controlled switch and network communication, mobile communication, optical fiber communication and signal processing, etc. Then, we can cultivate applied-professionals and research-based personnel with the innovation ability and proficiency in engineering practice. The students mainly major in communication systems and communication network, including the principle, method and theory. After the training of communication engineering practice, the students can have the ability of designing exploiting and debugging.
    After four years, if they can get 179 scores, they graduate and get the bachelor's degree.

    Major curriculum: Circuits, Simulate Electronics Accelerator, Digital Electronics Accelerator, Signal and System, High Frequency Electronics Accelerator, Communication System, Digital Signal Processing, Electromagnetic Field and Electromagnetic Wave, Micro-machine Principle and Application, Program-controlled Switch, Mobile  Communication, Optical Fiber Communication.  EDA Technology and Application, DSP Principle and Application, Single-chip Principle and Application.
    Main practice tache:
    Metal Technics Practice, Electronics Technics Practice, EDA and single-chip Curriculum Design, Manufacture Practice, the Integrated Training of Electronics System and the Design of Graduated Paper etc. The practice schedule sums to 31 weeks.

Automation specialty introduction
    The automation specialty involves the wide-ranging basic engineering technology and the specialist knowledge, including electrotechnics, electronic technique, Control Theory, Automatic Detection and Instrumentation, information processing, systems engineering, computer technology and applications, computer networking and internet technology. Of course, it can cultivate senior personnel with the engineering technology, such as the system analysis, the system design, the system operation, the research and development of science at the motor control, the industrial process control(IPC), the power electronic technology, the measurement technology and Instrumentation, the Electron information science technology, the information management and processing and the decision-making and so on.
    We pay close attention to the firm theoretical principle and stress the experiment and practice ability to reinforce the applied training in the engineering technology. Thus, we can also expand the knowledge in order to adapt to the demand of corporations and society.
