Economics and Management College of Jiamusi University was established on August 24, 1999. Until December 2009, the college has 71 staff, including 49 full-time teachers, 4 laboratory assistants, 10 tutors, and 7 administrative staff. There are 8 persons with senior professional titles, 19 persons with vice-senior title, and 14 persons with intermediate title, including 1 doctoral student, 18 graduate students, 2 under doctoral students and 8 under post-graduate students among full-time teachers. The college owns three offices, two departments, seven teaching and research divisions and one laboratory, currently with 3159 students. The college now has two major subjects, economics discipline and management discipline, which are subdivided into five undergraduate programs: business management, accounting, international economics and trade, marketing and logistics management. Business management is one of the key university level disciplines. Accounting is one of the key university level majors. Marketing, basic accounting and western economics are three fine university level courses. Economics and Management College has a comprehensive lab with 150 computers, including five sub-offices: ERP laboratory, the International Trade Simulation Laboratory, integrated simulation laboratory, computerized accounting laboratory, and sand table simulation laboratory. In addition, College has a small-scale reference room, with a collection of 7055 volume, which provides teachers and students with basic guarantee for the teaching, research and learning activities. The college adheres to the socialism guiding principle, fully implements the Party's education policy, and establishes the talent cultivation mode of "thick foundation, wide horizon, strong ability, high quality". College sticks to taking the teaching as the center, taking the scientific research as the guidance, taking reform and innovation as the power, and improves the quality of education and teaching unceasingly so as to cultivate honest, trustworthy and diligent high-level application-oriented talented persons with solid foundation, reasonable knowledge structure, innovative spirit and practical ability and better serve the local economic construction and social development. Business Management I. Accounting I. Training Goal The main focus of professional training is to foster advanced application-based talents with the knowledge and ability such as management, economics, law, and accounting, and they can be engaged in accounting practice as well as teaching and research in enterprises, institutions and government departments in the future. International Economics and Trade I. Training Goal The main focus of professional training is to foster advanced inter-disciplinary talents. After four years¡¯ study, they can master the basic theories and skills of international economics and trade, and be familiar with the international trade rules and practices as well as China's foreign trade policies and regulations, and understand socio-economic conditions of the main nations and regions in the world. They can be engaged in the practice of international economics and trade, management, research and advocacy planning in foreign departments, enterprises and government offices.
